On November 18th, 2012, Baltimore staff made their way to the West Branch of Herring Run for a stream clean-up day. A portion of Herring Run was adopted by McCormick Taylor via Blue Water Baltimore’s Adopt-A-Stream program, and it flows through an area of southern Baltimore County where many of our employees live. Stream clean-ups aren’t uncommon for the Baltimore group; the office is in its third year of the program and has conducted five clean-up events. Before collecting litter at Herring Run, our water resources team put on a fun, child-friendly demonstration on hydrology and hydraulics. The next clean-up is scheduled for spring 2013.
