Engineering Technician

 

Seeking an entry-level or experienced engineering technician wanted for field work and traffic data collection. Requirements include: basic PC skills (MS Office, Microstation are a plus), access to car, a current driver’s license, and must be available for early morning and/or late evening hours. Technical Assistant

 

Seeking a well-rounded Technical Assistant to support a busy engineering department. This Technical Assistant position will support a team of Project Managers and Engineers with a variety of engineering project related activities. Majority of the work involves administrative support as well as some assistance with proposals. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of technical documents; preparation of client correspondence and/or meeting materials; attendance at some client meetings and preparation of meeting minutes; coordination with other departments; conduct online or offsite research such as property deed searches; editing and proofreading reports; adding stylized look to report documents; maintenance of spreadsheets, budget information and weekly timesheets; handles the production and QA/QC of technical reports (copying, binding, etc.); and performs general administrative tasks such as filing, mailings, faxes, and other project communications as needed. Candidate will be computer savvy (MS Word, Excel, PPT and advanced knowledge of Outlook and Acrobat v.8); type 70 wpm; have excellent editorial and grammatical skills; possess a client-service minded attitude; work well in a team and be highly detail-oriented and organized; possess a flexible nature and positive attitude; and have the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines. Proposal/marketing experience is a plus. Knowledge of basic desktop publishing techniques (working with tables, inserting photos, etc.) is also preferred. Willingness and ability to work OT as needed and the ability to travel out of office as needed (within NJ) is essential. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred (English, Communications or related field) along with at least 4-5 years of related experience.
