  • June 11-14, 2008: Carolyn L. Keeler, Environmental Scientist, will be presenting, "A Case Study of an Urban Stream Restoration Project in Roanoke County, VA” at the 8th Annual AEES (American Ecological Engineering Society) Meeting at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Scott B. Lowe, Environmental Scientist, will be presenting, "Incorporation Large Woody Debris into Urban Stream Restoration; A Case Study of the Design of the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River" and Mike R, Miller, Environmental Scientist, will be presenting, "Effective Discharge Analysis for the Restoration Along the Northwest Branch Anacostia River" at the same conference.
  • July 14, 2008: Andrew B. Smith, Vice President, will be presenting his paper on Assessing Indirect Economic Impacts based on Access Improvements, at the 8th National Conference on Access Management in Baltimore, MD.
  • July 16, 2008: Andrew B. Smith,  will also be presenting his paper on Assessing Development Impacts from Infrastructure Alternatives that Vary from Local Land Use Plans, at the 8th National Conference on Access Management in Baltimore, MD.

 

 

 

Are You a Friend of Independence?

To assist in fundraising efforts, the head writer of the Tonight Show, Joe Medeiros, generously offered to make a short fundraising film featuring the Friends of Independence National Historical Park (FINHP). McCormick Taylor's President, Tom Caramanico, Chairman of the Board for the FINHP, makes an appearence in the video. Please click the following link to view this short film.

Additional information about the FINHP:

Since 1972, FINHP has diligently provided financial assistance, educational programming and volunteer support to Independence National Historical Park. The FINHP works to support the Park in a variety of ways, including assisting to provide the resources needed to complete the renovations to Independence Mall and preservation of Philadelphia's many historical sites including Independence Hall, the President’s House Site and the Deshler-Morris House.
