Bridge Inspector - Team Leader

Exton, PA

 

Seeking a Bridge Inspector - Team Leader with 5-8 years experience to lead inspection teams for local and state owned bridges. Responsibilities will include performing and supervising NBIS, interim, and fracture critical bridge inspections, and coordination/inspection for maintenance and/or repair activities.  Candidates must be proficient in PennDOT BMS and NBIS inspection requirements, and possess a valid driver’s license and current Bridge Inspector Certification issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and must meet PennDOT qualifications as a Bridge Inspector Team Leaders. Candidates should possess strong communications and technical writing skills and be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.  Proficiency with PennDOT EDC, E-Forms, I-Forms, and Access Database is required.  Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD a plus.  Highway and/or construction inspection experience a plus.  B.S. degree in an accredited Engineering program and an E.I. preferred but not required.

Position requires construction inspections of highway and bridge structure projects under County and PennDOT specifications, subdivision and land development projects, capital improvements projects for government clients under the direction of Municipal Engineers, requires preparing escrow releases, processing payment estimates, and shop drawing reviews.
 
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D., NECEPT bituminous and concrete certifications required, PennDOT CDS/NextGEN and NICET certifications preferred, and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Seeking a talented, energetic, creative Graphic/Multi-Media Designer for an immediate opening in the Pittsburgh area. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing a variety of materials that inform, educate and support the activities and image of our clients, to include print collateral, presentations, advertisements, logos, brand identity and display/trade-show displays. The ideal candidate would have an emphasis in graphic design with a working knowledge of web design and other multimedia tools.

 

The ability to organize workload effectively, prioritize and lead multiple projects is desired. Must have solid communication skills, be deadline driven and motivated by the desire to expand the value proposition of the company through the creative process. A passion for excellence and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment is a must. A degree in Graphic Design and/or comparable experience is preferred. 

 

Desired skills include the following:
• Skilled in typography, layout, color theory
• Experience in developing site maps, storyboards, wireframes and style guides
• Experience using Adobe CS3 or higher (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook),
• Hand drawing, 3D rendering and/or digital skills a plus
• Knowledge of multimedia software to aid in the development of websites, animations and/or interactive applications desired, but not required (Microsoft Expressions, HTML, CSS, Flash, After Effects, Javascript, ASP, etc.)
