Bridge Inspector: Team Leader

Exton, PA

 

Seeking a Bridge Inspector - Team Leader with 5-8 years experience to lead inspection teams for local and state owned bridges. Responsibilities will include performing and supervising NBIS, interim, and fracture critical bridge inspections, and coordination/inspection for maintenance and/or repair activities.  Candidates must be proficient in PennDOT BMS and NBIS inspection requirements, and possess a valid driver’s license and current Bridge Inspector Certification issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and must meet PennDOT qualifications as a Bridge Inspector Team Leaders. Candidates should possess strong communications and technical writing skills and be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.  Proficiency with PennDOT EDC, E-Forms, I-Forms, and Access Database is required.  Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD a plus.  Highway and/or construction inspection experience a plus.  B.S. degree in an accredited Engineering program and an E.I. preferred but not required.

Seeking an entry level Highway Engineer/Designer with 0-5 years experience or a mid level Highway Engineer with 5-10 years experience to work on projects from the preliminary engineering phase through final design. Candidate will work in many varied disciplines and should possess strong communication and technical writing skills. Knowledge of MicroStation/AutoCAD is required. Familiarity with VDOT design standards, plan preparation and procedures is preferred. Knowledge of highway geometry, drainage, maintenance of traffic plans and final construction documents preparation is required. E.I.T. or P.E. license not required, but preferred.

Transportation Planning Engineer

Pittsburgh, PA

 

Our Pittsburgh office is currently seeking a transportation planning engineer. Candidate should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum with a thorough understanding of engineering and urban design principles with 10+ years of professional work experience focusing on Complete Streets concepts such as traffic calming, streetscape improvements and bicycle infrastructure planning and design that integrate transportation with land use is preferred. Green Street and sustainable stormwater management design experience is a plus.

 

All candidates should possess strong communications and technical writing skills. Familiarity with PennDOT design standards, plan preparation and procedures.  P.E., PTOE and/or AICP license preferred, but not required. Competitive salary and excellent benefits offered.
