Assistant Director, Transportation Engineering

Brandon joined the company in 2006 as a Penn State alumnus with a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering. As a registered Professional Engineer in our State College, PA office, Brandon serves as Project Engineer/Project Manager on numerous PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission projects and has co-authored several journal papers based on previous research. In addition, he periodically serves as an Instructor for Highway Engineering (CE 321) at Penn State.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the hands-on engineering as much as any engineer; however, I really enjoy working with people (clients, property owners, etc.) to hear their take on an issue and bring that into the mix of finding a better solution.

If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?

To paraphrase something my dad once told me, “This is it (life), you only get one shot at it – there are no do-overs.” That being said, I probably wouldn’t do much differently from a regular day…ok, maybe I’d BASE jump from the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia.

What’s your least favorite season?

Winter. I only like snow/cold weather from December 22nd through January 14th.  After that, I’m ready for spring.

When was the last time you had an amazing meal?

My wife is Italian and my mother lives close – need I say more?

The best part of waking up, is…?
By the Grace of God, actually waking up! But beyond that, Saturday mornings my son wakes me up poking my arm – “daddy, dad, daddy!” – and my daughter is sitting on my legs. It makes every long day and sleepless night worth it.
