April 25th marked Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day, an educational program in the United States and Canada that encourages parents taking their children to work for one day. Throughout our offices, pitter-patter and animated chatter filled the halls, and many locations engaged their young guests with fun, educational activities.
On Mother’s Day, volunteers, runners, walkers, and fundraisers lined the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia for the start of the 23rd Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure – an annual 5K run and fitness walk that raises funds and awareness for breast cancer, celebrates survivors, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. Our McCormick Taylor team was among the many participants walking to honor those affected by breast cancer. Prior to the Sunday event, the Philadelphia office hosted “Pink Friday” and encouraged staff to wear pink, the color associated with breast cancer awareness. Final donations were accepted throughout the day, adding to the team fundraising total of more than $2,500.
