2014 Innovative Transportation Solutions Award

On Tuesday, December 9, the Baltimore chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar presented the Baltimore City Department of Transportation and McCormick Taylor team with the 2014 Innovative Transportation Solutions Award in recognition of the federal TIGER grant received for the Hanover Street Bridge Multimodal Corridor Plan. McCormick Taylor’s Baltimore office helped to prepare the grant application on a limited timetable. The City secured the $1.1M grant for the planning project, which will identify feasible methods of rehabilitating or replacing the Hanover Street Bridge that connects Baltimore City to the Port of Baltimore. The study will find viable methods to improve multimodal corridor accessibility and highlight ways to enhance quality of life, safety and access to economic opportunities and recreational amenities throughout the corridor.
