OUR WORK MOVES PEOPLE
Sea Isle Boulevard is a designated Coastal Emergency Evacuation Route that runs approximately 1.7 miles through an expansive estuarine wetland complex. McCormick Taylor completed the final design of this multiyear roadway reconstruction that addressed the roadway’s resiliency by raising it to accommodate flooding events, created a scenic recreation area, and implemented fencing to reduce terrapin mortality.
OUR PEOPLE MATTER
Alyssa has always been fascinated by the number of ways water impacts everyday life. She passes clogged storm drains and knows rain could lead to flooding on the streets of downtown Baltimore.
As a Water Resources Designer, she sees a community pond and instead of noticing how it might be a nice aesthetic addition to the area, Alyssa wonders, “Why is there no maintenance access road?” or “Why are there trees growing in the embankment?”
