McCORMICK TAYLOR WELCOMES GARY D. WOREK, PE TO OUR MT. LAUREL, NJ OFFICE

We are pleased to announce Gary D. Worek, PE has joined McCormick Taylor in our Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office.

 

In his position as Senior Project Manager, Transportation Engineering, Gary will utilize his more than 30 years of experience to manage all aspects of project delivery, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to market growth in New Jersey. 

 

Gary’s most recent experience included 5 years at the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) as the Assistant Division Director of Region South Maintenance and Operations in Cherry Hill, NJ. As such, he was responsible for overseeing, leading and directing approximately 270 employees, coordinating and administering transportation infrastructure maintenance and operations work for the Maintenance and Operations, Maintenance Engineering, Equipment/Garages, and Electrical Maintenance Units within the seven-county South Region Division of NJDOT. This broad and challenging position required a high degree of leadership presence, technical acumen, and decisiveness to complete a successful progressive discharge of all work related activities, projects and supervisory actions in accordance with State and Federal regulations, policies and directives.

 

Additional noteworthy and applicable experience includes Gary’s more than 25 years with Burlington County, NJ. He began as a Senior Engineer in the Engineer’s Office in Mt. Laurel, NJ, advanced to serve as the Principal Engineer, and then was promoted to the Supervising Engineer in the Department of Public Works – Engineering Division. Gary spent 8 years as the Supervising Engineer in which he oversaw the Project Management Section responsible for more than 700 culvert and pipe infrastructure facilities and the Highway Engineering Section responsible for 508 miles of County owned roadways.
