McCORMICK TAYLOR WELCOMES MICHAEL RUSSO TO OUR MT. LAUREL, NJ OFFICE

We are pleased to announce Mike Russo has joined McCormick Taylor in our Mt. Laurel, New Jersey office.

 

As an Assistant Director, Transportation Services, Mike will utilize his extensive background and experience at McCormick Taylor to identify and foster business development opportunities, provide practice leadership, mentor and develop staff, and support company goals and objectives.

 

Mike brings a plethora of transportation planning, highway design, project management, and grant administration experience to McCormick Taylor having worked in various roles for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) beginning in the 1980’s. Mike was first hired at NJDOT as a seasonal employee at a maintenance yard while in high school, an experience eventually leading to a 40-year career with the organization. Mike most recently served 6 years as the Assistant Commissioner of Planning, Multimodal, and Grants Administration (PMGA) at NJDOT overseeing a workforce of 265 employees in four Divisions: Local Aid and Economic Development, Major Access Permits and Outdoor Advertising; Statewide Planning, Multimodal Services, and Environmental Resources. Prior to that, Mike spent 10 years as the Director, Local Aid and Economic Development where he was responsible for an annual program of $500 million in Transportation Trust Fund and Federal-aid Grants and five Local Aid offices and staff statewide.

 

Additionally, Mike served as the Transportation Commissioner's designee on a number of organizational boards and appointments. These commitments included the NJ Infrastructure Bank Board of Directors, North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority Board of Trustees, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission Board, AASHTO Transportation Policy Forum, the Meadowlands Transportation Planning Board, and the NJ Governor’s Highway Traffic Safety Policy Advisory Council.
