CHUCK THOMAS VOLUNTEERS WITH STEPIN STONES TO EXCELLENCE

In 2016, Chuck Thomas, a Senior CADD Technician in our Philadelphia office, became affiliated with StepIn Stones to Excellence when he served as the President of the Woodbury Youth Summer Basketball League.

StepIn Stones is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and encouraging youth to actively participate in a more positive and balanced lifestyle. Scholarship is one of their cardinal principles.

Chuck got involved after seeing how many hours StepIn Stones' tutors volunteered and the positive impact these role models had on the kids participating in his basketball league. He helps set up events the organization sponsors and coordinates various activities, such as basketball tournaments. Chuck also participates in the youth mentoring program by educating and teaching kids various skills in different subjects. He is involved with the summer programs that promote awareness of athletics, health, and nutrition.

According to Chuck, “The purpose of this organization is to inspire our community and to make a commitment to our youth’s well-being through personalized attention and services designed to foster participation in regular physical activity, connection to the local economy, education, and continuous personal growth and enlightenment.”

On behalf of Chuck, StepIn Stones received funds from McCormick Taylor's Charity Committee for general funding and future StepIn Stones events.
