LOT E PROJECT IN HISTORIC ELLICOTT CITY EARNS ACEC/MD HONORS

On February 18 at the American Council of Engineering Companies Maryland (ACEC/MD) membership meeting and banquet, the Ellicott City Lot E Staircase and Water Quality Project received an Honor Award in ACEC/MD’s 2016 Engineering Excellence Awards competition. In 2013, the Howard County Bureau of Environmental Services engaged McCormick Taylor to provide engineering, design services, and landscape architecture for improvements to Parking Lot E in Historic Ellicott City, Howard County. The project included structural and stormwater management analysis and design, development of design plans, and construction oversight in order to make the existing parking facility along Main Street in this historic community more walkable and functional, improve access to surrounding businesses, and provide water quality treatment to impervious surfaces.
