NATIONAL NONPROFIT DAY

National Nonprofit Day is celebrated on August 17th each year to recognize organizations that deal with some of our society’s biggest challenges. They help shape our communities through their work, assistance, programs, and care for many in need. Many of these organizations rely on volunteers and financial donations to support their cause, expand their reach, and ultimately, offer hope. McCormick Taylor is proud to support nonprofit organizations throughout the year through the work of our Charity Committee and other company and employee-driven initiatives.

With the help of our Charity Committee, McCormick Taylor has supported over 300 nonprofits, all of which were nominated by our employees who have served as volunteers/participants. We recognize that our employees’ passion for giving back to their communities and shaping our society drives them to succeed. Supporting these cherished organizations has brought McCormick Taylor closer to our employees’ interests and who they are as people. So far in 2024, McCormick Taylor has supported 14 organizations through monetary donations totaling $20,000 and another $20,000 in donations is anticipated before the year ends.

Some of the cherished nonprofits we support include:

  • Green Heart Project
  • Distributing Dignity
  • Railways to Yesterday
  • Handi-Crafters, Inc.
  • Philadelphia Ronald McConald House
  • Venture Unknown Foundation
  • Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc.
  • Eagles Autism Challenge

In addition, throughout the year our company and our employees have been avid supporters of community events such as:

  • Participating and donating to the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® walk to end breast cancer
  • Participating in the Chester County Color 5K which raises awareness and funds to battle the opioid and heroin addiction crisis and donating funds
  • Donating 2,200 food cans to Fulfill NJ as part of ACEC New Jersey's Annual Can Sculpture Contest
  • Donating funds, books, and school supplies to The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools

McCormick Taylor has seen the impact of our support for these nonprofits, and you can too. Find a cause or an organization you’re passionate about, and find ways to support or donate to help make a difference in your community.
