National Nonprofit Day is celebrated on August 17th each year to recognize organizations that deal with some of our society’s biggest challenges. They help shape our communities through their work, assistance, programs, and care for many in need. Many of these organizations rely on volunteers and financial donations to support their cause, expand their reach, and ultimately, offer hope. McCormick Taylor is proud to support nonprofit organizations throughout the year through the work of our Charity Committee and other company and employee-driven initiatives.

With the help of our Charity Committee, McCormick Taylor has supported over 275 nonprofits, all of which were nominated by our employees who have served as volunteers/participants. We recognize that our employees’ passion for giving back to their communities and shaping our society drives them to succeed. Supporting these cherished organizations has brought McCormick Taylor closer to our employees’ interests and who they are as people. So far in 2023 alone, we have supported 18 organizations through monetary donations summing up to $20,000.

Some of the cherished nonprofits we support include:

  • Camp Nejeda
  • Brandywine Valley SPCA
  • Professional Trainers Advancing Humanity Initiative Inc.
  • Animal Rescue, Inc.
  • Alzheimer’s Association
  • DefIANt

In addition, throughout the year our company and our employees have been avid supporters of community events such as:

  • Participating in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walks raising $4,000
  • Donating 2,100 cans to Fulfill NJ as part of ACEC New Jersey's Annual Can Sculpture contest
  • Preparing more than 300 Caring Bags for the Caring For Friends organization
  • Donating books and school supplies to The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools

McCormick Taylor has seen the impact of our support for these nonprofits, and you can too. Find a cause or an organization you’re passionate about, and find ways to support or donate to help make a difference in your community.

“So thankful to McCormick Taylor's Charity Committee for their donation to the Exploris School's chapter of Girls on the Run. My wife works at Exploris and is the coach for this chapter. These girls and their families were able to receive reduced tuition costs, entry fee into a 5k race, and also a brand new pair of running shoes! Witnessing these girls achieving something they didn't think possible (completing a 5k) was inspiring!” -Brian Roberts, Raleigh office
