On Monday, July 25, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) released an informational video produced by the McCormick Taylor team. Using animation, graphics, and narration, the video describes an all-electronic tolling (AET) system that will be implemented on the new Scudder Falls Bridge located on Interstate 95 connecting Lower Makefield Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania to Ewing Township in Mercer County, New Jersey.

The Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement Project is currently in the final design phase. The DRJTBC will install an AET collection system when it replaces the obsolete Scudder Falls Bridge and improves its flanking approach roadways and interchanges beginning in 2019.

The three-minute video was unveiled last week during two project open houses in Lower Makefield and Ewing Townships. The video provides a fun and easy-to-visualize way to engage, inform, and educate the public about toll collection on the new Scudder Falls Bridge. The video describes the benefits of AET including, “No waiting in lines, no fumbling for change.” AET will offer safety and convenience to all motorists. The video also highlights discounts offered to those who opt to use their E-ZPass transponders.

The McCormick Taylor Communications team transforms technical information into clear and precise messaging for greater public understanding. Communications with stakeholders is important for the successful introduction of AET on the new Scudder Falls Bridge.
