McCormick Taylor had the great honor to attend the Veterans Transition Summit on November 9. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey Chapter, the event welcomed active military members, military spouses, transitioning members, and veterans. Mike Maher, Navy Veteran and Real Estate Entrepreneur, gave a heartfelt and informative speech on the keys to success upon transitioning from military service to the workforce. Following the speeches, an exhibition began where attendees were able to engage with employers about potential job openings and career advice.

Our Talent Acquisition team had the opportunity to speak with transitioning members on how their military experience can be transferable into the workforce. During our conversations, we were able to discuss how their interests and background could potentially fulfill McCormick Taylor’s open positions. The logistical and organization skills developed during a military member’s service would be an asset to any company.

Local veterans organizations were also present at the exhibition, including the Greater Philadelphia Veteran’s Network, Bridging the Gap, Bucks County Vets Center, and many others. After speaking with representatives from these organizations, we were able to gain more insight on how McCormick Taylor can support veterans, transitioning members, and their families. We look forward to working with these organizations to build a better future for our military service men and women.
