McCORMICK TAYLOR RECOGNIZED AS THE 2023 WTS PHILADELPHIA EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR

McCormick Taylor is proud to be named the 2023 Employer of the Year by WTS Philadelphia. The award is given annually by WTS Philadelphia to recognize an employer that demonstrates support for the organization and is committed to recruiting, retaining, and advancing women within their company.

SUPPORTING WTS

McCormick Taylor’s support for WTS has been illustrated through company-sponsored memberships, Pennsylvania chapter sponsorships, and employee engagement. The company encourages employees to attend events and get involved, and as a result, employees are actively engaged and filling committee and board roles. Some of these roles include: the Philadelphia Programs Committee and Harrisburg Awards Recognitions Chair, Scholarship Committee, and STEAM Day Planning Committee. Understanding the importance of introducing girls to STEAM early, McCormick Taylor repeatedly sponsors the program and the company’s volunteers.

The firm’s Operations Team is 50% women, and women hold executive and senior-level positions across the firm’s business units. Nearly 35% of our leaders are women, and more than 40% of women employed at McCormick Taylor hold senior-level positions.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

McCormick Taylor believes continuing education and professional development are cornerstones to the success and career satisfaction of its employees. The firm advocates for employees’ to be stewards of the profession by encouraging them to engage in industry associations through program attendance, board/committee involvement, and speaking engagements.

 

Over and above advancing women’s technical skills, McCormick Taylor has mandatory company-wide training for all employees. These trainings focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) and Harassment Prevention so that every employee understands their role in creating and maintaining a work environment that is inclusive and safe for everyone and where everyone can achieve their fullest potential. McCormick Taylor’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee helps build a culture that promotes, supports, and values the diverse backgrounds and voices of our employees so that everyone can succeed.
